In order to fast track activities of the Global Good Agricultural Practice (GGAP) project in Nigeria, critical stakeholders has held a crucial meeting.
Presided over by the National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Iyalode Alaba Lawson, the National Technical Working Group (NTWG) of Global Gap Nigeria reiterated commitment to the agenda.
The meeting was used to draw a plan of action for effective functioning of National Technical Working Group and effectiveness of the Global GAP activities in Nigeria.
The National President also used the opportunity to take the United Nations Industrial Development organisation (UNIDO) officials its Chief Technical Adviser Dr. Malik Shaukat, round the NACCIMA Secretariat and the new Training Centres under construction.
It could be recalled that the National President was recently elected as the Chair of the Technical Working Group of Global Gap Nigeria.
GGAP is a farm assurance program, translating consumer requirements into good agricultural practice.
