Two very important personalities on a courtesy visit to the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) commended its present leadership for the foresight in the area of human capital and entrepreneurship development.
The Nigerian High Commissioner to Jamaica, Her Excellency Janet Olisa (Mrs) said the initiative to establish a center known as the Business Entrepreneurial Skills and Technology (BEST) Center is one that has accounted for the training of those in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on the rudiments of managing modern business concerns.
In her words: “It gladdens me to know this chamber is now under the competent hands of Prince Adetokunbo Kayode , SAN., CON who has never failed in anything he laid his hands on.
“I want to also use this opportunity to emphatically stress that BEST is the best thing that has happened to the business community in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and its environs.
“It is also an initiative which has clearly demonstrated the genuine concern of well meaning individuals in our society to help the government to handle specific issues such as human capital development, entrepreneurship and skills acquisitions. I am overwhelmed with joy.
“I call on the business community in the FCT to maximally make use of this center and also key into the major activities of the chamber in order to improve the fortunes of their business and also contribute their quota to national development”.
On his part, the Director General of the National Troupe of Nigeria (NTN), Cultural Ambassador Tar Ukoh said he was overwhelmed with the midas touch and mastery of innovations that has come to impact on the chamber and its activities.
Ukoh called on other Organized Private Sectors (OPS) players to emulate the pace set by energetic Prince Kayode, the entire Executive and Council members of the chamber for the job he described as well done.
“My brother and friend Prince Kayode and Prof. Adesoji Adesugba, Executive and Council members have made me proud. They have taken not upon themselves to create long lasting impact on their areas of influence.
“They have demonstrated time without number that, with clear focus , determination and assemblage of the best team, every aspect of our lives will be uplifted.
“The establishment of the BEST center and putting in place gigantic legacy structures such at the ultra modern office complex and the biggest Convention Center in Abuja, I am more than ever convinced that the generation yet unborn will benefit from the results of the sweat of their labour”.
The guests were conducted round the facilities of the center by its Provost, Prof. Adesugba who explained that it became necessary for the government to be assisted hence it cannot do everything.
