
Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce gets new president
The Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce announced the appointment of a new president.
Blake Fry will start as leader of the organization on Aug. 15, succeeding Tim Arbeiter.
Fry is president of the Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau in Hudson, Wis.
According to a release, Fry spent 20 years in administrative positions in higher education and is the current board chairman of Mid-America Chamber Executives.
“He brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding in chamber, tourism, economic development, civic engagement and more that will serve as a great foundation to lead our organization forward,” Rosalie Newkirk, chairwoman of the chamber board, said in a release.
Arbeiter left the chamber on June 15 to become president of the Missouri Economic Development Council.
The Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce is the third biggest in the area, with 1,037 members.
