Olota of Ota, Adeyemi Obalanlege commended Euro Global Foods and Distilleries Limited towards job creation for youths and its efforts to boost the economy of Awori Kingdom.
The monarch gave this commendation during his courtesy visit to the company’s corporate head office in Sango-Ota, Ogun State and a facility tour of the firm’s distillery.
He stated that he was delighted to see a company such as Euro Global Foods and Distilleries Limited operating within his kingdom, stressing that the company did not only have the capacity to locally source its raw materials but was also capable of exporting such products in line with international standards.
He said, “I am delighted that this is existing in this town; ordinarily walking around, you wouldn’t know that we have a fully automated factory like this with international standards that is producing products that are being exported to other countries right here. And they are sourcing their raw materials locally, which has helped in boosting the economic growth and activities not only for the farmers but also for the indigenes of this community.
“This is the kind of factories that we are ready to support in this country and then being the Olota of Ota, I am assuring the Euro Global Group that I am always ready to assist them at all times. I also want to thank them for employing our youths and my prayer is that they should grow more so that they can employ more of our youths.”
The Chairman, Sona Group of Industries, Mr Arjan Mirchandani, was quoted as saying that Euro Global Foods and Distilleries Limited was ready to do more for the community.
He said that currently, the company had about 4,000 employees and was hoping to employ additional 2,000 workers.
