The Chief Executive Officer and Executive Secretary of American Business Council (ABC) Margaret Olele informed journalists in Lagos that ABC has assured that U.S. companies in Nigeria will see corporate social responsibility (CSR) as a strategic plan to make impact in the country, adding that they are tenable projects.
The chamber recently presented a report to the Minister of Industry Trade and Investment which included reports on a business workshop and forum with technical experts from the Manufacturing, ICT, Agriculture, Real Estate and other sectors of the economy. The report also shows how important of a role the U.S plays in sustaining the Nigeran economy
ABC President, Lazarus Angbazo mentioned that over a hundred U.S Companies have partnered and invested more in the country since independence. He went ahead to state that ABC is an integral stakeholder in the ongoing Commercial Investment Dialogue (CIB), aimed at fostering more trade and investment links between the U.S. and Nigeria, encourage firm involvement between both governments on the private sector’s important matters.
