The Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FEWACCI) has described the death of former United Nations (UN) Secretary General, Dr. Koffi Annan as a great loss not only to Ghana but the entire African continent.

A statement signed by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Aminou Akadiri described the late Annan as a “pacemaker and global statesman”.

“His outstanding leadership was a source of great inspiration for us, private sector actors in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) member states”, Aminou stated.

He condoled the late diplomat’s immediate family, circle of friends and all lovers of peace as well as the government and people of Ghana over the irreparable loss.

“FEWACCI also condoles deeply with Ghana who gave the world a great son”, the statement exclusively obtained by Chamber Telegraph stated.
