Bauchi State government has promised to establish farm centers across the three senatorial districts of the State as need for youths and women empowerment in the state.
The state Deputy Governor, Alhaji Audu Katagum, declared this during an interactive session with journalists at the state Capital earlier in the week.
Katagum noted that the projected farm centers were efforts of the state government to address youth agitations and also create employment opportunities for the increasing populace.
According to him “already all the necessary arrangements have been put in place to support the youths and women to engage in farming activities through the use of modern farming and provision of implements for food security and bumper harvest’’.
The Deputy Governor stressed that agriculture is a major priority of the administration, “hence the need for all and sundry to complement government towards improving socio-economic development in the State’’.
He charged the youths to remain positive and desist from all social vices which can destroy their future.
