
NACCIMA admitted into UN global compact
The Director General of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Amb. Ayoola Olukanni has just informed Chamber Telegraph in Pert Australia that the association has been officially admitted as a partner of the United Nations (UN) Global Compact.
This good news he said was conveyed to NACCIMA by the UN Global Compact yesterday.
According to the DG, “this has opened the doors of various opportunities for us regarding the various initiatives by the UN”.
The President of Abuja Chamber of Commerce, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, SAN CON, on hearing the good news congratulated the National President of NACCIMA, Iyalode Alaba Lawson on the achievement of the admission of NACCIMA in the UN Global Compact initiative.
“There is no doubt that under the stewardship of this National President, the Organised Private Sector (OPS) in Nigeria has become more vibrant and proactive, as we all can see, Iyalode not only yaps but also acts positively in the interest of the OPS and the development of our country Nigeria.
“I wish NACCIMA the very best as they join other international organizations in the Global Compact Initiative. Well done NACCIMA”, he emphasized.
