Valley Greeters and Chamber of Commerce welcome new businesses

The Ruidoso Valley Greeters and the Chamber of Commerce recently held ribbon-cutting ceremonies for three new local businesses in Ruidoso and Alto, (the greater Ruidoso area). The Chamber welcomes new businesses to the area, always supporting the local economy and new proprietors. The ceremonies have been part of the Chamber’s welcoming ceremony for many years wishing the new business owners well and the best of luck in their endeavors. The Chamber and Valley Greeters take the extra time getting to know the people that have become a part of the local life and economy here.

The Chamber of Commerce and Valley Greeters take pride in the community and are here to help new business owner and residents with information about area guiding them in the right direction.

Anytime Fitness, 2927 Sudderth Drive, owned and operated by Andrea Nelson and Dakota Monte is new to the area opening their doors around six months ago. The businesses ribbon cutting was held on Sept. 21. The fitness club is opened 24/7 for its members and offers a 7-day free trail for locals, has tanning beds and a virtual on-site training system that allows one to pick from 6,000 exercise classes.

Treasures Galore, 613 Sudderth Drive, owner/operated by Ginger Tate, is another business that was welcomed by the Chamber with their ribbon cutting held on Sept. 21. The store and clothing boutique is filled with jewelry, Southwest Décor items, cowboy hats and boots (Ever so slight used) and specialty items and novelties. For more information on items and store hours, call 575-686-2534.

Additionally, the Chamber welcomed the Lazy Bear Retreat to the greater Ruidoso area, 118 Highway 48, about two miles north of Ski Run Road. Owned/operated by Lenny Peck, with the ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Sept. 20.

After working in the corporate world for some 25 years, he decided it was time to find another way of life. Visiting  Ruidoso on vacations in the past, he wanted to make the Village his new home. Recently he purchased the facility that sits on 2 acres with four cabins (three are rentals). For information about the facility, call 575-973-8596.

The Chamber of Commerce and Valley Greeters welcome these new businesses to the area and wishes them the best of luck. For more information about the Ruidoso Chamber of Commerce call 575-257-7395 or go to www.ruidosonow.com.
