In consideration of the monumental commitment to the development of the African economies using the chambers movement, President of Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, CON., SAN has been selected to serve as the Deputy Convener of the Africa Leaders of Chambers Forum.
The decision was announced in the just concluded meeting of the Forum which took place in Nairobi-Kenya, according to a report exclusively obtained by Chamber Telegraph.
Item 16 of the resolutions during the meeting which names Prince Kayode for the job says, “The Kenyan Chamber National Chairman to be the Convener of future meetings and to be assisted by the President of Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI)”.
Prince Kayode is the 10th President of the ACCI who has brought both structural, legacy projects and a Midas touch in the modus operandi of the chamber leading to the construction of an ultra modern office complex, Convention Centre and four centres in the Chamber.
The four specialised Centres offering critical services in trade and business facilitation are: Business Entrepreneurship Skills and Technology (BEST) Centre, Policy Advocacy Centre (PAC), Dispute Resolution Centre (DRC) and Abuja Trade Centre (ATC).
During the gathering, the body also took a look at the plight of the continent ad resolved to rededicate its quota in its advancement.
Prince Kayode was Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria across the ministries of Justice; Art and Culture; Defence and Labour and Productivity.
