In view of its strategic importance in connecting Nigerian businessmen to the outside world, the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has been approached to provide the necessary support that would make for successful business summit.
While tabling their request to the president of the chamber, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, the Belarus officials said the move was necessary in recognition of the track records the organisation has in organising both in-ward and out-ward to activities of this nature.
They also stated that Belerusian companies and businessmen are willing and ready to invest in Nigeria in areas like agriculture, machines, manufacturing of products that will improve agricultural yield and also solicited the cooperation of the chamber to facilitate their activities in when plans are perfected.
They used the occasion of the visit to inform the president of a renewed vigour to embark on an experimental farm programme in Abuja.
In his response, Prince Kayode expressed gratitude to Belarus for been a worthy partner of the chamber and recalled the event he organised for the country’s deputy Prime Minister in 2016 during which several businessmen also attended.
He assured of the support of the chamber towards making the events a reality hence both parties stands to benefit from each other.
He enumerated the areas of interest for members of the chamber to include: manufacturing, industrial activities in agricultural value chain, food and meat processing, waste recycling, plastic and small machineries.
The president also requested that the chamber is furnished with all the major expos, exhibitions and trade in Belarus to enable his member to participate actively in them.
