Leaders of the Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FEWACCI), were marveled at the giant strides recorded by the administration of Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, the President of Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI).
FEWACCI leaders are in Abuja for their 6th Annual General Assembly (AGA) and visited the chamber as part of activities marking the outing.
While conducting the leaders round the legacy projects of the chamber, Vice President responsible for Information, Communication Technology (ICT) and Provost of Business Entrepreneurial Skills and Technology (BEST) Centre, Prof. Adesoji Adesugba said visionary leadership has accounted for the track record of achievements within the space of 11 months.
At the Convention Centre, he said the structure is the biggest in Abuja with 5000 seated capacity, executive hall, halls for small meetings or events, coffee room, executive lounge and spaces for events like wedding receptions among others.
At the BEST centre, he conducted the delegation round the ongoing ICT training rooms, Prof. Adesugba explained that the ICT training was targeting the best 1000 young people in the capital city with a view to imbibing them with vocational and ICT skills, saying that will go a long way in boasting employability.
The venues visited were those carrying out training in website design and management; digital marketing; photography; ICT support services among others.
Speaking to trainees in each class, FEWACCI President, Mr. Essohouna Germain Meba expressed satisfaction describing the initiative as marvelous.
He emphasised that such skills are necessary for the young people hence they need to be properly prepared to face the challenges of the 21st century.
He enjoined them to take the courses seriously and make judicious use of it upon graduation.
