A philanthropic gesture has been extended to the Business Entrepreneurial Skills and Technology (BEST) centre of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This was made by Mr. Kayode Tani-Olugbemi, the Chief Executive Officer and Principal Consultant of Acethia Consulting based in United States of America (USA).
He said the donation during his visit to the Chamber said it was part of his contribution towards accelerating the activities of the centre.
The library materials include are 700 learning and study materials in form of videos, tutorials, and PDFs in Python, Java, Cloud Computing and DevOps.
“I make this donation in view of the fact that initiatives like this deserve to be supported. It is my initial contribution towards achieving the strategic vision of the BEST Centre which is to easily make knowledge business and entrepreneurial as well as skill knowledge available to whoever seeks it.
“I am impressed with what is going on here. This is an initiative that deserves to be supported in view of the positive impact it has on the economy in particular and the country at large”, Mr. Tani-Olugbemi stated.
In his response, the Provost of the Centre, Prof. Adesoji Adesugba appreciated the gesture and assured that it would be put to judicious use.
“We are pleased to receive this uncommon donation today from Mr. Kayode Tani-Olugbemi, a man who has absolute confidence in the youths of this country.
“By this gesture, he has not only endorsed the activities of our Centre but moved a step further towards investing in the core vision which is aimed to skill, re-skill and up-skill all sectors of the society. I want to assure that this virtual library will be put to judicious use”, Adesugba emphasised.
