…Condoles the family

The President of Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Prince Adetokunbo Kayode has described the death of a renowned trade negotiator, Amb. Chiedu Osakwe as a huge loss to Nigeria and the entire business community in Africa and beyond.
In a condolence message issued on Sunday evening, Prince Kayode described late Osakwe as a man with a Midas touch who has used his experience, expertise, energy and mastery of negotiation to impact positively on the Nigerian and world economy,previously as a director of the World Trade Organisation(WTO) and Nigeria’s Chief Trade Negotiator.
Prince Kayode also emphasised that Chief Osakwe was a rare gem and someone who was deeply engrossed in negotiating for favourable trade and business deals for Nigeria,noting that his contributions to national and international trade development was unquantifiable.
“I have worked on several occasions with Chief Osakwe and can effectively attest to his diligence, commitment and passion in the course of carrying out any role assigned to him either by virtue of his position as chief trade negotiator for the nation or as a critical player in the Organised Private Sector (OPS) movement.
“In his very sad and untimely death, we have lost a hard working patriot. On a personal note, I have lost a dear friend.
“May his gentle soul rest in peace. I wish to also use this opportunity to express my deep condolences to his family and loved ones. We should all be consoled that he left a lasting legacy on the sand of time that is worthy of emulation”, Prince Kayode, who said he lacks words to describe the loss noted.
