The leadership of Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has been commended for its extraordinary achievements as evidenced in the initiation and completion of several legacy projects in the last two years.
Delivering this commendation were several dignitaries led by Chief Emeka Offor, a billionaire businessman who inspected the projects due for commissioning by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The projects include a six storey ultra modern headquarters for the Chamber and a huge capacity trade and convention centre whose construction was launched in the last two years under the presidency of Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, former Nigerian minister of Defence and Justice.
The ACCI Vice President for Digital Economy, Professor Adesoji Adesugba had led the dignitaries on an inspection tour of the projects, confirming that the projects are 99 percent completed.
Speaking after the inspection, Sir Offor expressed admiration for the commitment of the ACCI leadership to have accomplished so much despite the economic environment, noting that the chamber has proved that the private sector is a great manager of resources.
“I am impressed and full of praise for the leadership. Achieving this feat is sign that the leadership is competent and far sighted. Let me congratulate the team ahead of the commissioning”, Sir Offor said.
Also speaking, former Senate President, Sen. Ken Nnamani commended the Kayode leadership for achieving so much with so little.
“I could hardly recognise this place again. This is a commendable achievement, a sign that the private sector holds the key to economic progress and greatness of our nation”, he said.
The Vice President, Public and Diplomatic Affairs for ACCI, Dr Aliyu Idi Hong who is also a former minister explained to the visitors that President Buhari is scheduled to commission the projects in due course.
