Nigeria, Liberia Business Forum To Hold Before December

The Liberian government have requested that the Nigeria-Liberia Business Forum be held before the year runs out.
The Forum which was earlier scheduled to hold in March, 2020 was postponed indefinitely because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rev. Tunde J. Spenser, the Counsellor for the Political Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Liberia stated this in Abuja on Wednesday when he visited the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) secretariat.
Rev. Spencer who represented the Ambassador of Liberia to Nigeria Ambassador James G. Dimka at the meeting said the business forum is aimed at enhancing economic and trade relations between both countries as well as fostering common trade interests amongst businessmen.
While responding Miss Wura Onigbogi who represented ACCI’s Director-General, Ms Victoria Akai who was at another meeting at the time assured that she would relay the message to the Chamber’s Director General.
She also informed the Counsellor that the Chamber would be hosting the 15th Abuja International Trade Fair, inviting the Liberian Embassy to attend.
Wura also assured him that strict COVID-19 prevention measures will be adhered to as the Chamber would be working closely with the FCT department of Health services on that.
The Director-General, Ms Victoria Akai who briefly stepped in to welcome the Counsellor assured him of the Chamber’s readiness to foster and promote trade relations between both countries.
She noted that the chamber was looking forward to more interactions with the Embassy.
