The newly elected President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Alhaji Al-Mujtaba Gumi has congratulated the Odua Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ODUACCIMA) on its successful election of President Prince Kayode Adeyemi and other executive members of the Chamber for their emergence as the EXCO members of the Chamber.
Alhaji Al-Mujtaba who was also elected as the President of Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) on Monday, December 14, 2020, said the Odua Chamber of Commerce over the years has distinguished itself as a committed player in the Organised Private Sector (OPS) movement in the country, evident from the national award of excellence in leadership and productivity conferred to the Chamber by the National Productivity Centre of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.
Other members elected to the EXCO of the ODUACCIMA at the Chamber’s 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on the 15th of December 2020, include Dr Oluwatoyin Ojelabi as the 1st Deputy President, Alhaji Wasiu Olaleye elected 2nd Deputy President, Mrs Dupe Olakunle was elected the Treasurer, Alhaji Olufemi Hassan, the Deputy Treasurer of the Chamber while the immediate Past president of the Chamber, Chief Kola Akosile was elected Ex-officio.
Alhaji Al-Mujtaba explained that the ACCI was particularly proud of the immediate past EXCO under the leadership of Chief Kola Akosile who drove the activities of the Chamber and put the ODUACCIMA on a global map urging the new leadership and EXCO to continue in the same tempo as the old EXCO.
He described the ODUACCIMA as a seasoned Chamber of Commerce that continues to contribute to the country’s economic growth and development adding that he is expecting more from the Chamber this year.
