AMANI Summit: Experts Urge Women Entrepreneurs to Prioritise Mental Health, Business Structures.
ABUJA — Experts at the 2026 AMANI Business Summit have called on women entrepreneurs to pay greater attention to mental health, financial discipline and sound business structures as essential ingredients for building sustainable enterprises.
The experts made the call at the summit, organised by AMANI Muslim Women in Abuja, with the theme, “Building Sustainable Businesses with Integrity.”
The AMANI Coordinator, Hadrat Omipidan, said the organisation remained committed to equipping women with the knowledge, opportunities and support needed to strengthen their businesses and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
She urged entrepreneurs to make honesty, accountability, fairness and excellence central to their business practices, noting that true business success should go beyond financial returns to include integrity and positive social impact.
Speaking on entrepreneurs’ mental health, Coach Jyda Mahuta advised women business owners to pay attention to their emotional wellbeing and adopt healthy strategies for managing stress and avoiding burnout.
According to her, maintaining good mental health can enhance productivity and enable entrepreneurs to effectively manage their businesses, families and wider responsibilities.
Also speaking, Dr Monsurat Ayoola stressed the importance of proper business structures and financial discipline in achieving long-term business sustainability. She encouraged entrepreneurs to keep accurate records of sales and expenses, separate personal finances from business income and deliberately plan for savings, debt repayment, investment and retirement.
Ayoola also urged business owners to establish systems that allow their enterprises to operate efficiently even when they are not physically present, describing such structures as an important indicator of a sustainable business.
She further encouraged entrepreneurs to build strong networks, engage their customers consistently, invest wisely and live within their means as part of strategies for achieving sustainable growth.
Another keynote speaker, Hajiya Basirat Oyebanjo, highlighted the importance of digital marketing and strategic advertising in improving business visibility, customer reach, profitability and growth.
The summit brought together women entrepreneurs, professionals, cooperative members and start-ups for discussions on financial management, digital marketing, investment, tax compliance, business structures and ethical business practices.
