ACCI Connects with Job Seekers at Abuja Job and Career Fair, Promotes Skills Development

October 22, 2026

The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has participated in the ongoing Abuja Job and Career Fair, organised by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, Jobberman, GIZ and other partners, as part of efforts to promote employment opportunities, skills development and career advancement for young Nigerians.

The fair attracted a significant turnout of job seekers, particularly young people seeking employment, professional guidance, skills acquisition and opportunities to connect with prospective employers and organisations.

The Deputy Director General of ACCI, Dr Tinuke Temitope, was present at the fair to assess participants’ engagement and observe how job seekers were connecting with prospective employers and taking advantage of the employment, career development and skills acquisition opportunities available at the event.

At its exhibition booth, ACCI engaged with participants, providing information on the Chamber’s programmes, business support services, entrepreneurship development initiatives and other opportunities designed to promote career growth, enterprise development and private-sector participation in economic development.

The Chamber’s participation underscores its commitment to building stronger connections between the business community and the workforce, while supporting initiatives that equip young Nigerians with the knowledge, skills and opportunities needed to thrive in an increasingly competitive labour market.

ACCI commended the organisers and development partners for creating a platform that connects job seekers with employers and promotes access to career opportunities. The Chamber also emphasised the importance of sustained collaboration among government institutions, the private sector and development partners in addressing youth unemployment and strengthening the employability of young people.

Through its engagement in initiatives of this nature, ACCI continues to champion enterprise development, vocational and professional skills acquisition, entrepreneurship and inclusive economic growth, recognising that a skilled and productive workforce is essential to sustainable national development.
